My Birdhouse series of sculptures was inspired by my collection of animal skulls and bones. I have gathered natural ephemera on my walks for many years and my most treasured finds were always bird skulls. The Birdhouses are a combination of sculpture, collage, and found object assemblage. I love the delicate and beautiful symmetry of the bones and needed to create a fitting display for them.
